Four years ago, I arrived with big dreams, quiet prayers, and a heart determined to make space for myself and others. Today, I leave with a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical & Community Health Psychology, graduating Cum Laude, with memories that changed me forever and a legacy rooted in leadership, service, advocacy, sisterhood, and purpose.
I wore many titles during this journey; Resident Assistant, Vice president to President of RHA, multimedia intern for Student Affairs & Housing and Residence Life, Dean’s List scholar, community health advocate, event planner, mentor, and the honor of serving as Miss Beta Iota for the Beta Iota Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated But beyond every title, accomplishment, and late night, I became someone stronger, softer, wiser, and more certain of who I am called to be.
There were seasons of pressure, growth, sacrifice, healing, and perseverance that these pictures could never fully capture. Yet through every challenge, God continued to remind me that grace and grit can exist together. Every bulletin board, program, meeting, event, resident conversation, and leadership opportunity helped shape the woman standing here today.
This little girl in the preschool cap and gown always believed she could do something meaningful one day. And now, she has.
To my village, thank you for every prayer, encouraging word, hug, repost, scholarship, opportunity, and ounce of love poured into me along the way. I did not get here alone.
Forever a southern belle with big dreams and an even bigger purpose. 🤍
The legacy continues.
