… my collaboration for Melbourne Fashion Week! so great to see it on the runway #circa2016 #MelbourneFashionWeek #FashionCollab #HatDesign #ahataday4may #ahatforaparade
It’s interesting how fashion evolves, isn’t it? In 2018, when millinery seemed poised to make its way into everyday style, it felt like it could be the next big thing, almost like a statement piece that would elevate the daily look. Fast forward to 2025, and it seems like hats, especially those bold, structured ones, have either remained more niche or evolved into something more functional and subtle, like baseball caps or beanies.
The “full stop”, in the form of a carefully chosen hat, still holds a place, though it may not be the everyday staple it seemed destined to be. Perhaps it’s just that the culture has shifted towards more laid-back, minimalistic aesthetics, or people have become more into pieces that can seamlessly blend into casual wear rather than something so deliberate and attention-grabbing.

2025 will be choreographed just as I like…with intention, precision and calm!
