I found this photo of my mom over 20 years ago. I told her I was going to get it tattooed on me. Being the typical Mexican mom she said no and stated she didn’t like tattoos. A couple months after that conversation she asked me if I ended up getting the tattoo. At the time I had to be responsible with my money.
With her being called back home I felt it was time to finally get the tattoo. With Mother’s Day around the corner this makes for a nice tribute to my mom.

Met Gala around the corner I had to take it back to when we at @phxfashionweek held a Met Gala themed event prior to the actual Met Gala. Last year’s theme was Tailored For You.

I watched Micheal last night and I had seen all the reviews and heard all the negative comments about. I went in thinking I wasn’t going to like it. The movie was well done. Jafar Jackson did a great job portraying his uncle. It brought so many memories from growing up as a kid in the 80’s. I do wish that everyone was portrayed in the movie but was still a great movie with the omission.

Hair: We created this look by adding computer and welding wires into the braids. A small texture iron was used to make the hair look undone, yet polished.

Makeup: One half of the face was meant to look natural while the other half is meant to expose the technology in us. With white dramatic lashes and hand placed computer chips were used to create this mother board look.

Ferrari & Valentino, great combo! I wasn’t on the runway but directed beauty. It felt great to be back with the fashion family at Phoenix Fashion Week. It’s what my heart needed as part of the healing process.

Now I know why I love fashion so much, I get it from my momma. The 50’s what an era for fashion. My mom and her sisters have many photos of them in full skirts, pencil skirts and short shorts. Can’t forget the small waist.
