Meet Our 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴 Workshop Instructor Ryan Adkins
The Team: that dinner thing: that dinner thing started 4 years ago as a monthly NYC supper club where tickets are sold in pairs, so you have an excuse to invite your neighbor, that person you always see getting coffee, or a new crush. since then, we’ve expanded to wine bar pop-ups, product partnerships, and now workshops—always centered around bringing people together through food.
Instructor: Ryn Adkins (they/them): that dinner thing’s culinary lead, is never not thinking about dinner. they have a deep knowledge of seasonal ingredients, bring new life to classics, and lead with highly intuitive taste. with 10+ years cooking for others, this workshop shares how they’ve built confidence with knife skills and how they prep for up to 50 people at a time.

Handle With Care
Before cooking any meal—there’s the cut. a knife is the first tool that transforms food.
Handle With Care is a gentle introduction to knife skills as the foundation of cooking. this workshop helps you get comfortable with your knife while expanding how you prepare food to be more delicious and visually appealing. plus, it’s an impressive skill to have when cooking for others—we know from experience.
In order to make sure this workshop will be useful to you, please bring:
• your own knife (if you’re looking to purchase one check out

• your own cutting board, any material works (check out

• a dish / tea towel (to carry your knife + for cleanup)
you will take home with you:
• new knife skills
• all the vegetables you practice cutting
• a that dinner thing broth to use at home
