We’re hosting our first Handmade Swap at the studio and you’re invited.
Bring 12 handmade items — baked goods, jam, candles, cards, small artworks, anything made by you and swap with others.
You’ll also have time to decorate your own tote, hang out, and meet new people. Get all the details on our website.
It’s here! Our first Creative Retreat.
I’ve put together what I think is a really special week —
with a group of incredible women artists and facilitators:
Amy Soucy @resonantheart — a yoga teacher and mindfulness facilitator who will guide us in slowing down, reconnecting, and opening up to creativity in a more intuitive way
Kelly Kingman @kellykingman — a visual note-taker and educator who will help you learn how to capture what you’re noticing
Laura Leigh @artbylauraleigh — a painter and pigment-maker whose work is rooted in landscape, color, and materials. She’ll guide you in making your own watercolors to use as your palette
and me, @staceycollages — will help you bringing it all together and hold space for you to explore, make, and see what unfolds
Along with creative sessions that build on each other, beautiful places to explore, and enough free time to just breathe.
I designed this retreat because I believe creativity is one of the best things we can do for ourselves — and Beacon is the perfect muse.
Consider this your invitation — or share it with someone who would love this.

What’s it like running the studio? Here’s a 👀
My Mondays went from back-to-back meetings at my corporate job to cleaning the studio, setting up for class, breaking down for a rental, preparing marketing materials, paying bills, flyering, programming, developing new offerings, ordering supplies, updating the website and welcoming you into the studio.
As I go along on this journey, I’ll share more behind the scenes of the studio. The good, the messy and bad.
Watercolor. Shibori. Cyanotype. Natural dyeing.
Your most creative summer yet.
We’re putting the finishing touches on our summer schedule and can’t wait to share it with you on May 19. This season is filled with hands-on workshops, new creative experiences, and ways to slow down, make things, try something new or return to an old favorite.
What a wonderful Mother’s Day Charcuterie Workshop we had today! 💐🧀
We spent the afternoon surrounded by amazing people, sharing lots of laughs, creativity, and discovering some serious charcuterie talent in the making. It was such a joy to watch everyone create beautiful boards and make sweet memories along the way.
If you missed today’s workshop, don’t worry—join us for the next one on June 13th at @thatcreativespace in Beacon featuring a patriotic American-themed charcuterie board workshop—perfect for summer entertaining! 🇺🇸✨
Visit boardbliss.org for all your charcuterie needs, including custom boards workshops, and private parties available for your next special event.
Thank you to everyone who joined us today—we loved creating with you! ❤️
In last night’s Drawing for the Petrified workshop, @lorisanfordross shared her story of loving to draw as a child, being discouraged in college, and putting down her pencil for years. She spoke openly about fear, self-doubt, and what helped her start again.
The class wrote their fears on sticky notes, put them aside for a moment, and spent the evening learning foundational drawing skills and simple exercises to build confidence.
Part of drawing is practice. Part of it is learning to quiet that inner critic and letting yourself make something anyway. ✏️
That’s what our workshops are about: trying something new or something you are scared of, reconnecting with creativity, and giving yourself space to explore without pressure.
We’re planning on bring Drawing for the Petrified back this fall as a multi-week class. 🤍 You don’t have to wait until fall to join us in the studio. Summer schedule is dropping soon!
This is what it’s like running a studio ✨
Some days are magical. A full room, people making things, energy you can feel 🎨
And some days… it’s quieter than you hoped and a little unsettling.
The truth is, this space is here for people to use.
Workshops, events, studio time. A place to make something, teach something , or celebrate something.
I know life gets busy 🤍but if this feels like something you’ve been needing, or you know someone who might,
feel free to share this with them.
We’d love to have you here ✨
This moment 🥹 exactly why we do what we do.
When a workshop ends with a hug for your teacher, you know something special happened. A little less in your head, a little more in your hands. Time to explore, unwind, and just enjoy making.
Thank you @kirsten_nunez for sharing your passion, creativity, and patience with us 💛.
Missed this one? There’s more to come. We’ve got a full lineup of hands-on workshops for all levels—come find one that feels right for you.
Join us to celebrate World Collage Day, an annual, international celebration held on the second Saturday of May (May 9,) to promote collage art, community, and collaboration. Initiated by Kolaj Magazine @kolajmagazine in 2018, it encourages artists and enthusiasts worldwide to host events, workshops, and exhibitions that connect people through tactile, creative, and often collaborative art. We have a fun event planned. Everyone is welcomed. No experience necessary. Get all the details and register via link in the bio.
We built the studio to be a welcoming space for all. When we receive a review like this, we’re so grateful that intention is being seen and felt.
If you’ve been peeking at the schedule but holding off, spring is a great time to join us. We have a great lineup of workshops.
