I haven’t mourned the loss of my sister in a healthy or proper way. Today marks 3 years since we lost her. War performed “So” when we saw them a couple weekends ago and I fell apart. The lyrics are simple but hold so much. I loved her so much and she left us. The feeling of grief and anger leaving and a healthy sadness replacing it is not what I signed up for but a friend sent me a clip of Tyler Perry saying grief visits you at random, you’ll do whatever you can to avoid it but it’s always there waiting for you. So embrace it.
I share all of this to say… please continue to live. Live a life of positivity, care, empathy and love. Live for those you have lost along the way and continue to share their stories. Be kind and patient with others because you will never know what they are battling within.
