I’ve been thinking lately about performance and identity, and how life (no matter the context) asks us to perform. Identity is not linear or stable, we build it. For me is a repeated action. So I came up with this mix series that explores the body as a personality interface. Identity performed through visual layering, then translated into sound.

CARAIVA MIXXX — After some days in Bahia, Caraiva has been on my mind. The word comes from Tupi, which means “foreigner” (sometimes I feel like a foreigner in my own culture, a beautiful paradox of my own identities; yes, I’m more than one). Absorbing, transforming, evolving… always adding, never losing.
This mix is a feeling for the land of those who came before.
