オーロラ・ソールバーグ個展 「私たちが生きる森」

ノルウェーのビジュアルアーティスト、Aurora Solberg(オーロラ・ソールバーグ) @auroralundsolberg の本づくりが本格的にHand Saw Pressのスタジオで進んでいます。
日本画の素材や技法で描かれた美しい原画を、リソグラフで印刷した作品集の製作は全て手作業です。系綴じの手製本をノルウェーのPamflett @pamflett.no とHand Saw Pressのメンバーで一冊づつ仕上げています。
いよいよ今週27日（木）から阿佐ヶ谷のブックギャラリー・ポポタムでの展示もスタートします。
Hand Saw Pressも、この美しい水彩画がリソグラフのインクでまた違う表情となり、さらに１冊にまとめられた特別な本をノルウェーチームと作ることができて、とても貴重な作業となりました。

Our book project with Norwegian visual artist Aurora Solberg and Pamflett is now in full swing at the Hand Saw Press studio.
Her beautiful original paintings—created with materials and techniques inspired by Japanese painting—are being transformed into a handmade risograph art book. Every copy is produced entirely by hand, with thread binding done one by one by the teams from Pamflett (Norway) and Hand Saw Press.
And this week, starting Thursday the 27th, her exhibition will open at Book Gallery Popotamu in Asagaya.
It has been a truly special experience to see her delicate watercolors take on a new expression through risograph inks, and to create this unique book together with the Norwegian team.

Last week we launched our new Norwegian Podcast called Illustratørpodden, where we invited to our first episode, author and children’s book illustrator @ragnaraalbu . At the end of the Podcast, we had a Q&A with Ragnar and get to know more his work and his new book called “Georg er borte “, in English: Georg is gone.
In addition, @thaneerenee prepared an exhibition @kmdbergen of Ragnar’s books.
