a year ago, i couldn’t fully soak in what i felt when i achieved a dream that seemed so far away. seeing @oliviarodrigo felt unlikely and the idea of being able to take these photos even more so.
they’re my favorites for many reasons but especially because they were exactly what i hoped to capture while watching and learning from her previous performances of the GUTS world tour: spilled.
i seem pretty optimistic for a girl so used to expecting the worst,
i guess i was wrong about it.
first time filming and shooting on a handycam - felt like a parent running around foro del lago at @fnsm_oficial . thanks @disco_bahia for trusting me to document another paradisco night 📹
the first concert photos i ever took were at @pepsicentermx . two and a half years later, i got to check something off my bucket list by coming back to the same venue – this time with @disco_bahia as they opened for @fosterthepeople . these were some of my favorite moments from that night. thank you to the disco team for the invitation and the warm welcome!
the wishbone pajama show was the first show i went to after six months since april. it was a huge personal challenge, but just enough time for me to stop fearing taking photos again – i didn’t want to miss the chance to witness all the memories @conangray created during his first time in mexico, surrounded by a comfort crowd.
i carry Bere and Miguel with me at every show, finding them in the faces and in the energy of the people there and trying to keep honoring them in the way i know how.
there’s no way i could fully explain how much i had been waiting for @themarias at @showcentercomplex last night, or what it meant to experience in real life a couple of songs that have been with me through these past ten months. you can definitely tell i’d been preparing for this moment, drawing inspiration from the incredible work of @cloudyytots and @cjharvey2 . i think i got to channel them for a little while. ready for today for @tecatepalnorte !
i had severed crossed fingers for this opportunity ever since @st_vincent was announced on the @coronacapital lineup last year. thought you all had to be digital witnesses to my attempts at capturing the force of nature she is on stage.
i’m especially proud of how they turned out, even though some were underexposed but it was so much fun experimenting with @lightroom and playing with textures, check out the last slide for a before and after!
