Another season @kickinghorsemtn is coming to a close. The snow up high is still amazing, and I’m glad I got up one last time. I’m grateful for all the good times and opportunities up there this year. I hated the lines but it was worth it every time. Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.

Crushed to have to say goodbye to my dad this week. He was my biggest supporter and constant adventure buddy. He taught me by example, how to live a full life by adhering to a simple set of values based on faith, family and fun.
His final day he had breakfast with his wife, called his son to say happy birthday, did a good deed, went for a walk, had chocolates after lunch, cracked a beer and then took a nap that he never woke up from. It’s about as perfect an ending as you could script for a genuinely caring, curious human who never complained and never needed to explain.
I love you dad. Thanks for everything you did for me. It hurts here without you, but I’m stoked you crossed the finish line the way you did. We’ll take care of mom. I hope the fish are biting where you are. ❤️

That’s kinda how this one went and before long, Aaron Bernasconi, Nadine Overwater and I were meeting on the side of the highway with enough food, gas and stoke for a 3 day adventure.
