Mental health can still be one of the loneliest things to carry, even in a room full of people. That’s why spaces like @archstreetcenter matter so much.
Community members gathered for Arch Street’s annual Fishbowl Fundraiser, this year transformed into a luau-themed evening filled with music, laughter, raffles, and conversations that reminded people they are not alone.
But underneath the tropical shirts and decorations was a room full of people showing up for adults living with serious mental illness and reminding them they deserve connection, stability, dignity, and community without judgment.
For more than four decades, Arch Street has quietly become a lifeline for many in Lancaster County. While conversations around mental health have become more visible in recent years, there are still countless individuals who experience isolation, stigma, and the feeling of being forgotten.
Arch Street continues to meet people where they are, offering not just programs and services, but a place where members can simply exist without needing to explain themselves first.
The fundraiser was centered around belonging with the fundraising total reaching nearly $92,000!
One of the most emotional parts of the evening was knowing this year’s Fishbowl was also the final one for my dear friend, Susanne Hershey, Development Director. Anyone who has spent time in Lancaster’s nonprofit community knows Susanne’s impact reaches far beyond fundraising. She has spent years building relationships, advocating for organizations that serve vulnerable communities, and helping people feel welcomed the moment they walk into a room. She is someone who pours herself fully into the work and into the people around her.
Her work has helped strengthen not only Arch Street Center, but the broader culture of compassion surrounding #mentalhealth in Lancaster County.
Mental health recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through community, through organizations willing to remind people they still matter during the hardest seasons of their lives.
That is what Arch Street Center, continues to do. And Lancaster showed up to make sure that work continues too.

Set at the Ware Center for the Arts, the evening was filled with vinyl spins, live performances, and a dance floor that didn’t quit—alongside bites designed to keep pace.
Crab cake bites, cheesesteak egg rolls, char siu pork belly lollipops… and plenty more where that came from.

We had the pleasure of hosting a dinner for an incredible group of CEOs—local and beyond—bringing together perspectives, stories, and ideas in a space designed for connection. Because at the core of what we do is a simple goal: to be the definitive host for human connection—creating space for celebration, reflection, and discovery through exceptional food and atmosphere.
