There’s a lot of buzz building up ahead of our gig this evening in the
@nationalstadiumdublin as part of
@culturedatewithdublin8 . It’s going to be a unique mix of sport, music, poetry and comedy, in celebration of Dublin’s boxing heroes including Dan Donnelly, and I’m delighted to be sharing the ring with Brian Kerr,
@tezoneill49 ,
@emmet_obrien_poetry , Barry McGovern, and more, with Donal Fallon of
@threecastlesburning as MC and
@damiendempseymusic as special guest.
The gig has generated a lot of renewed interest in my last album, Donnelly’s Arm, so much so that it has just been reviewed in The Irish Post, the biggest selling Irish newspaper to the Irish diaspora in Britain, 5 years after its release!
Massive thanks to all who have given this album a whirl over the last five years, shared it with friends, or given it some fab reviews.
I’m really looking forward to sharing the ring/stage with this great gang, to celebrate some amazing Dublin boxing heroes, to celebrating my home of the last 16 years,
@thelibertiesdublin and to perform music from this album. Come check us out this eve- I believe there are still some tickets remaining for the gig for those interested, link in bio.
