Exciting news! I was honored to have been invited to create the new splash screen for Adobe InDesign! And to make things twice as epic - it’s part of the Adobe / Prime Video partnership celebrating the upcoming Rings of Power series. I couldn’t imagine a more thrilling design challenge!
Swipe for a few images of the process. The engraved shading was achieved by treating individual elements with a technique outlined in the "This Magic Texture..." tutorial (check it out on the Texturelabs YouTube!)
Additional elements done in Adobe Illustrator. The most challenging element - Nori's wild and awesome hair! The key was to create some custom hair brushes in Adobe Illustrator.

My buddy's dad owned a chrome plating facility when we were kids. Vats of gnarly chemicals, heat, electricity, labor. He was a grumpy old son-of-a-xvxvxvx and I'm not sure if he'd love or hate this ridiculously easy Photoshop chrome. I'd like to think the former.
