This past Monday we let the cat out of the bag! We are partners with Merced County Regional Waste Authority in the first of its kind contract making textile recycling easily available to all residents in Merced County. @glasshunter has done an amazing job educating the cities within his footprint on what they can do to become complaint with SB 707 and we are working hard to make sure all communities have collection bins as well as information on how to use our free home pick up service @justporchit . We are beyond excited for this collaboration and will continue to give quality service to the Northern Central Valley.
What a weekend! Our grandson turned 5, Macy had her prom, and I woke up to brunch, mimosas, and a day of absolutely nothing but relaxation and hanging out by the pool. Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom, my mother in law, our daughter, and all my friends/family that take on that role in their life in any capacity. Today we celebrated the State Of The City followed by a press conference announcing the Fresno Falcons are back!!! 🏒 Super excited to see what this next year brings to our beautiful hometown. Thank you @mayorjerrydyer for your hard work and faith in Fresno, it takes a village!
After weeks of traveling/working away from the girls we all met up in Vegas to finally see @morganwallen ! Macy finally got the chance to touch Morgan’s hand. All the work was worth the play! We ate at our favorite restaurants and even tried an escape room the morning before we came home. I always forget to take pictures and live in the moment, but the memories will last forever. It’s important that we remember balance. Work will always be there when we get back so we will always prioritize making time to create memories with our family. ❤️🤠🎶

What a first day this convention was! Super exceeded my expectation. I am grateful to have the oppertunity to showcase our company, advocate on behalf of for-profit collectors, and educate how we are a closed loop. Highlighting collections, our partners, and the good players in this industry will always be top priority.
Another International S.M.A.R.T. conference in the books. This time we took on Belgium and although we met 6 months ago, this conference looked a little different. I had the pleasure moderating and participating on the bin panel where we discussed our challenges, legislation, and goals for the future as for profit collectors. This industry reminds me so much of my home, Fresno, we are a big/small town and so is this business. There are a lot of people but somehow we all know or know of each other which we need to use to our advantage. It is a critical time to make sure accurate data and the cycle of our industry is being portrayed properly. Only we can help provide the information to write an accurate narrative. I say it all the time, we are louder together than we are individually. Our goal to educate and advocate needs to be priority right now when we have the oppertunity to make a difference at hand.
We had the best time last night at the @elbowroomfresno for an intimate private event celebrating California Woman Of The Year. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the time with us. @nathanmagsigca and @austingilbert14 offered some very kind words and encouragement to keep doing what we’re doing. This was such an honor and I’m so blessed to be given the opportunity to accept this award.
17 years ago today, one of the most amazing women in my life left me. She was strong, savvy, business oriented, funny, and ornery as shit. I have no idea who I got it from 🤣 not a day goes by that you don’t remind me of where I came from. ❤️
Last night was the big show after months of planning the @fresno_police_chief_foundation gala. I am honored to be a board member and chair the gala this year. We doubled the capacity, had 400 attendees, raised more than double than last year before the event day, and are making our drone project come to life. As I said last night, this foundation is here to fundraise and receive from our generous community to give the tools the @fresno.pd needs to do what they do best… keep our communities safe! I am so proud of how this event turned out and our whole team on the foundation made it happen!
Last week we spent time at @bowlesfarming networking and sharing information about the importance of cotton farming, the process, and collaborations on how to recycle 100% cotton. Great information was given by @dr.joannebrasch about SB 707 updates. It’s events like this that help intertwine all sides of the textile industry and help us work together.
