Are you swimming in the earth? a kid said when they saw this pic and they are absolutely not wrong…my watery self is washed up in Kumasi for a few months with no swimable water source for miles – time to face the ancestors. Earth Girl/Fertilies video and live performance TONIGHT!!! 28 Feb 2026, 4-10PM @perfocraze_international a collab with @firstnamehadiza 💙
Digging into the earth uncovering a fluorescent tail that keeps on shifting, and sinking deeper and deeper
Brown wet soil under their delicate fingernails, natural forms frozen into a puff sleeve
Hugging heavy loads of soil between hands and elbows
The iridescent tail turns into a lump, a wave, a stream, a lake, and back to a lump which she raises and puts on her arm
Under a frozen satin wave
The spiritual archeologists are hugging the forms, as they vibrate and hum
Softly glowing in their arms

We begin in the dark.
Rot becomes soil, pearls form in irritation, diamonds harden under the weight of the earth.
Beetles roll brown orbs of dung as offerings, alchemists of decay.
A hidden hand stirs the tides, birthing life from saltwater and silence.
Reaching down deep into the earth and leaving behind a small and delicate flower that quickly wilts and is reabsorbed.
It's memory floating up out into the breeze.
We cherish what grows unseen:
the swamp, the womb, the grotto, the damp.
The yin space of gestation, where creation sweats and drips, before it solidifies and shimmers.
It's Damp Opulence xo
