To be honest, we had a really hard time differentiating between three of our regional no-ring champions in Borracho, The Great George and Brandon St. James.
That got a bit easier when Borracho dropped the Natural State Rasslinā No-Ring Championship to Buddy Babcock this past weekend. (this happened after rankings were submitted and will be better reflected in our next rankings).
Borracho, by our records, is one of only two wrestlers in the world with five or more no-ring matches in 2026 (Valentine will tie it this weekend in Canada officially, but may already be there: weāre still working on Wrestlemania week results).
Borrachoās move into the elite tier of no-ring fighting has been rocky. Losses to Santa Chiva and Gabriel Skye (in a scramble), combined with his loss of the NSR title, suggests thereās another level heāll be looking to reach in the second half of 2026. .
He is unquestionably one of the best no-ring wrestlers in the world. Few have shown a passion for the artform like he has. Hereās hoping he gets his title rematch and maybe another shot in NFC.
