After a half-baked, first-time practice session in the Main Building back in 2024, the Dean’s List, an aptly named band, was created. The band features Rich Reddick, BA ’95, Life Member, Distinguished Alumnus, senior vice provost for undergraduate education; Bobby Chesney, dean of the School of Law; Sam Poloyac, dean of the College of Pharmacy; Allan Cole, dean of the School of Social Work; and Charles Martinez Jr., dean of the College of Education. Jessica Bartley, BA ’05, MS ’07, Life Member, serves as senior director of psychological services for the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, where she leads a team of 18 mental health professionals supporting athletes at the highest levels of competition.
Over the past six years, her work has spanned a pandemic-delayed Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the tightly restricted Beijing Games, and the evolving pressures facing today’s athletes—where performance and mental well-being are in constant tension.
