2025 is a big year for Power-Breed. @soph_powerbreed and I have massive plans for this business and are looking to take coaching and performance to a whole new professional level. Within Power-Breed we offer a range of nutrition and performance coaching services for those just venturing into lifting all the way through to the professional competition level. Combining that with a fully supportive community, that is ever present on and around the platform. Under me you will get a specialised focus on improvement on the technical, consistency, and mental aspects of lifting in order to progress to new levels The books are open for 2025 (link in bio for consultation slots)

The community within team Power-Breed is a special place. At almost every comp you will see Platform crew, Handlers, Referees, Table Support, and in the crowd members of the team always giving back to the sport. We have built a special community where we can get to know eachother beyond being teammates. Whether it's normal banter about our daily lives, celebrating a major milestone, asking for advice, or arranging meet ups, we cover it all, and do it while have a great laugh. Power-Breed is not just about getting coaching, it's about building a team. We arrange training sessions, share guidance on equipment, and support each other in person and online as much as possible

We told you it was a very busy month πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ This weekend is an absolutely massive one, with no less than 10 athletes taking to the platform at the @gpccombinednations European Championships and @wrpf_uk World Cup! It is all hands on deck to get these folks some serious PBs and keep the events running smoothly, with all coaches either reffing/spotting & loading or handling! See you on the other side 🫑

We've been pretty busy across the last few weeks and we simply cannot forget about this incredible weekend that saw 4 of our athletes take to their respective sports! Each and every one of these legends put up some seriously impressive performances and it is constantly pushing the momentum of this team! @strong_as_stelfox taking podium at UK's strongest woman. @chris_sentinel.powerlifting having a 9/9 day without a red light in sight. @talsssssx hitting lifetime milestones after just 2 sessions in wraps. @sophistasista hitting numbers she has been striving for a LONG time for. The sheer delight of how the above feels, is never lost on us! Well done guys, that was an incredible weekend. Let's have a few more like that shall we πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€

There are some throwback videos going up of some of the best British training squat sessions, so thought I'd jump in with the Amazing @kylegibson3078 doing 390kg x3 When Kyle started with me he had a 350kg squat, and had just missed setting a Scottish record with 372.5kg. Working together through his time in Powerlifting we built that to an incredible 430kg. Here is is doing 390kg x3 in training, a number no other Scottish lifter has managed to hit for even ONE in competition! It's amazing looking back at some great achievements of the UKs best lifters, while also looking forward to what the sport of Powerlifting holds in store for the future with things getting better and better

A fear that some lifters have is that if they don't hit their target on one week in a training block, it'll mean they'll not achieve the end goal. With super rigid block structures this can happen, but life doesn't work in a super rigid structure. Stress, accidents, unexpected events, celebrations, small illnesses, travel, there are a endless amount of factors at play, and when too many line up at the same time, some weeks training is going to take a big hit! This is where a coaches eye can make a difference. Give them the feedback, all of it, it matters. Data is used to know if an adjustment is needed, one of those can be extending a block. Lucy here had all the several factors at play two weeks prior and had struggled to hit 80kg for 4 reps, despite being due to target a 5rm the week after. What we did is look at all those factors and decide, an extension, another week to regain the confidence with 80 (hitting an incredible 11 reps!) and week 2 getting that 5rm with this fantastic set of 90kg! Without feedback, and using a rigid structure, the 5rm attempt could have been 80kg or less! One or two weeks impact is NOT a disaster, give the feedback and reap the benefits

Just the selfless old man he truly is, @tex.powerbreed is giving YOU all a present for his own birthday! He has written you guys a full literature riddled deep dive on one of the most commonly misinterpreted elements of static strength there is- BRACING. The idea came to him after blowing out so many candles from his birthday cake, his abs started started cramp! This is not only a masterclass, it is an absolute masterpiece and contains proven methods that many of team Power-Breed use within their own execution 😍 The full article is available on our site now, hit the link in stories to give it a read! And if you enjoyed it, show the man some birthday love, or better yet, pick his brains on how he can start stacking more kilos onto your total like your beautifully new stacked torso position!

When I went full time with coaching it was for two primary reasons #1 To fully commit the my passion for this sport and supporting people in at, doing a job I love and feeling happy #2 Start de-aging a bit now that I was no longer waking up dreading the working day. These two photos, shot by @shotslikesumo and @jager_shoots , taken at two comps the other weekend show that #1 is definitely happening , but #2 is still a work in progress. Jokes aside about my weathered face, I could not be happier about taking the leap to go full time. With a decade of coaching and supporting this sport already under my belt, I feel even more energy than ever and love the direction it's going with the incredible feds, competitions, fellow coaches, platform crew and lifters I get to spend so much time around!

Perhaps we're in denial that the @british_powerlifting_union Single Lift British Championships at the Arnolds Sports Festival is actually over for 2026, but we certainly won't stop talking about it! A jam packed 3 days with all Power-Breed coaches @drsoph_powerbreed @tex.powerbreed @mok_powerbreed rotating across platforming managing, spotting & loading, handling clients, warming up others and clearing up at the end of each day. But it's about time we gave our incredible team a huge shout out for their incredible performance on the platform. All 9 of our crew were out of this world and competed in the largest single lift Championships the UK has ever seen, on a platform we've all been praying would one day have us. The Arnold's was an incredibly special one so thank you to everyone that made it happen and let team power-breed put on one hell of a showing. Take a look through each of our lifter's performances above! And if you like what you see, you can enquire to work with us via the link in our bio! Books has filled up exceptionally fast with incredibly limited availability, so please do enquire for more information and we'll be sure to help you to the best of our abilities 🫑
