Still soaking it all in 🤍 Being featured in Architectural Digest is one of those full circle moments that reminds us why we do what we do. Grateful for the trust of our clients, the talent of our partners, and the love of design that drives every detail.

The most effective way to elevate a space without starting over is to identify what’s working, edit what isn’t, and layer in what’s missing. Our clients had pieces they loved. They just weren’t working in their new home yet. We started by identifying the things we could reuse, then sourced things that played well with the existing color pallet. We revamped by accessorizing, creating storage and decluttering, and adding color through art! Swipe to see how it all came together...

What our clients needed wasn’t reinvention, it was intention. A trained eye applied to what they already had, which is the kind of work we love to do. Thoughtfully curated pieces are what make a home feel genuinely yours. In our Dixon Avenue project, that was exactly what we were aiming to achieve. Check out our blog to learn more about how we refreshed this space.

The Bannerman Lane project is a home that finally caught up to its owners. With our full-service design package, we completed this project step by step: from planning and contractor coordination, to procurement and design, to construction support and troubleshooting. Swipe to see how this renovation came to life.

At Bannerman Lane, our clients are a family of four who appreciate color, especially with an established artist as the matriarch. Their space needed direction and cohesion to tie all their rooms together. Two bathrooms and a fireplace later, we're getting somewhere.
Most renovations without design leadership have a certain feeling to them. Not bad materials or wrong decisions, but disconnection. Each space gets solved in isolation and doesn't connect as a whole house. That is what a full-service designer is actually for. Not just picking tile, but holding the whole direction at once so that every decision in every space is a part of the same conversation. We are with you every step of the process, keeping the vision in mind. Check out our blog to learn more about how we created a cohesive space in this phased out renovation.

Day 3 of sharing content that lives rent free in my camera roll. Cannot believe I have been keeping this one to myself 😅
A complete first floor renovation in Cary, NC where we opened up the kitchen and made it more accessible for this busy family. Better lighting, better storage, better flow. An entry that catches the chaos before it spreads. And a laundry room so good it almost makes rotating that load feel like a treat.
Almost.

April was a whirlwind at TEW! From site visits and project installations to the fine details of selecting wood stains and countertops, we’ve been bringing designs to life! We also spent some time at High Point Market, an industry wide event where we get an exclusive look at new vendor product lines. There’s nothing like the energy of Market to spark fresh inspiration for our upcoming projects.
Day 2 of sharing projects that has been living rent free in my camera roll.
Formal dining room out. Game room in.
Have a quiet puzzle night, a heated family board game, or just put your feeling out in a little piano session.
The best rooms are not the ones you decorate around. They are the ones you actually show up in.

Color doesn't have to live on your walls. At Bittern Lane, we built an entire palette out of texture. Olive velvet, dark wood, woven wallcoverings, plush rugs. The color is everywhere. You just want to reach out and touch it. Color, texture, feeling. That's the work. If you're ready to create a space that actually feels like you, we'd love to hear about it. Link in bio.
We call this one “the project that almost lived in my camera roll forever.”
A half bath tucked under a staircase. Small footprint, big personality, all function. This one deserved to be seen and I just kept moving on to the next thing.
So here we are. Better late than never, right?
This is the first in a series of projects I never got around to sharing because running a design studio is humbling like that. The work keeps happening. The posting does not always keep up.
Follow along because there are more where this came from.
