Quick session in-between video editing and shooting hell. Came out decent, keep learning. 🫡
.
i have a before and after video for this post, but somehow IG doesnt let me post it properly. I couldnt be bothered to edit another version, so no video it is.
Baby Blues. (Best Film: Student Category) at @dossshortfilmfestival
ITS AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE!!!
.
Not to say i didnt wish or expect to win, but i was glad enough to be nominated as one of the best out of hundreds (idk how much exactly) in the student category. And Alhamdulillah, Baby Blues won at the end despite a very rough process. Minimal preparation, rushed start, almost no budget, 3 days of editing in-between internship and freelance work, feeling down from watching Geyol Patah-Patah and Kasih Bapak, almost not submiting the final film and somehow ended up winning the best film category was such a wild ride of a month.
.
Honestly, i have too much to say about everything about this film, and really want to share the details about all of it before i forget it altogether. So i guess i will be making a BTS video to post on YouTube, idk when tho.
.
This film was too long "originally", so the "original" version is coming soon.
.
Lastly, thank you. thank you. thank you so much to all the people involved in the making of this film. To Andien who translated my dumbass poor scriptwritting knowledge. To Sammy who set everything together and even lent your own house (say my thanks to your mother too!). To Kak Putri the last minutes actress whom i bullied to tears for 1 hour in the start of shooting day and drove home alone so late at night (im so sorry, wont happen again "next time" 👀) To Marcelyn who set the set and prepare the details despite having such a tight schedule. To Dustin who somehow someway wants to help us produce this under-prepared film. To my mom who trains to hide her Sundanese accent to say the line. And to everyone who i rant out to in every process. I give you all my deepest thank you. I owe you guys.

took this photos months ago, maybe a year already? its not procrastination i promise, its an experimentation pieces. I was playing with the color way too much. Kinda like it in the end, but nowhere near as perfect or as i expected it to be.
.
well theres an attempt, at least.
.
.
note: i dont know how this post got labeled as ai. The closest only thing i use to ai tool is automatic masking tool. I refrain myself to use any ai related tools such as generative fill to any of my photos for now.
This so called "wider shot than usual" experiment shoot and editing ended up twirling my head around, this is not what I expected. But skill issue get better rip bozo + ratio + L.
.
The only thing I hate about wide-shot (or maybe in general bcz... Instagram) is how brutal compression kills my photos. I can't show the little detail and the niche shits I want to show.
.
Rip bozo.
Spent 30 minutes in Manggarai station, not much that I could take, but honestly it isn't that bad of a 30 minutes photohunt.
I overheard the lines from a genuine conversation between a couple about a month ago in Tanah Abang Station.
A lesson: my laptop monitor is just sucks. Now the frames too dark, but I won't recolor this either cuz I spent way too much time coloring this instead of working on my midterms. So yeah, fuck it we ball.
Learning Adobe Lighroom so I can color all of my pictures properly. I need a better monitor tho, since mine is a lil whacky. so yeah, long way to go.
.
Ajarin color dong puh, Sepuh.
