🌺 My mom looked at this painting and went, “Are those poppies?” And I was like, “If that’s what you see.” 😅 Then she told me about tall poppy syndrome, and it made me think about how everyone reads something different in a painting, even something as simple as flowers.
“Tall poppy syndrome is when people criticize or undermine someone for standing out or being successful, just to bring them down.”
DM if you want to give this one a home ✨

Kintsugi - the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold lacquer, recognizing that the piece is even more beautiful for having been broken
A collection I’ve been working on for the past few years inspired by Kintsugi 💛 The Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, recognizing that something is even more beautiful because of its history
So my camera broke right in the middle of my film without me knowing and it double and triple exposed some of the frames 😅 I have not edited these pictures other than color adjustments!
So yeah I thought I had like 60 pics from my trip when it was only like 20 🥲 never mentioned that to me again 🫠
