Rather than relying on sheer accumulation or linear forward drive, Ash Eclipses Flesh unfolds through a sense of internal circulation. While its OSDM foundation is clearly asserted, it is never treated as an end in itself nor as a nostalgic posture. Riffs do not simply stack or repeat; they move, breathe, and subtly reconfigure themselves within structures that remain heavy yet unusually readable.
At the core of this dynamic lies the drum work, which acts as the album’s primary structuring force. Fluid, dynamic, and deeply organic, the drumming does far more than support the riffs: it shapes their trajectory and defines their impact. Through precise timing, textural awareness, and an evident sense of restraint, it injects the music with a pronounced groove that feels structural rather than decorative. Each shift in tempo or intensity appears instinctive, anchoring the compositions and allowing density and violence to remain intelligible without sacrificing weight.
Within this framework, a restrained ethereal harmonic presence plays a decisive role, casting an atmospheric veil over the music and introducing moments of suspension. The resulting tension between propulsion and restraint, between physical momentum and atmospheric diffusion, reinforces the impression of a music that remains brutal and forceful while carefully managing its internal balances.

Lineup features Mat V (vocals, guitars), Christian Larson (vocals, bass) and Dobber Beverly (drums, guitars).
Artwork, created by Shoggoth Kinetics, presents a dense, composite mass of anatomical traces and dark textures. Skeletal forms, vertebrae, and decayed flesh intertwine without clear horizon or narrative context. The composition emphasizes texture, volume, and decomposition, with strong black-and-white contrast enhancing depth and clarity.
