AC4LA: Limited Edition Dubplates 💛 Back in January, after chatting to Californian producer @terrestrialaccessnetwork about the wildfires in LA, Colin and I decided to fast track a release on Alien Communications in order to help those affected - with several of his friends being forced from their homes. After deciding to put the record out through Digital Communications in order to raise money more quickly, we were contacted by the lovely humans at @agora.dtla … Eager to help, the team behind the LA-based record store offered to organise and fund a very special, limited edition dubplate pressing of AC015 by @sliced_groove , with all profits going to the same two charities as the digital release; The LA Fire Department Foundation The LA Animal Care Foundation These beautiful records are now ready, with just 40 produced and available instore/online at Agora (US) or via the Alien Communications Bandcamp (UK/EU). Priced at $50 / £35, featuring four specially selected tracks from the digital album, we’re aiming to raise as much as possible for two great causes and expect these to sell out quickly. AC015: Terrestrial Access Network - AC4LA 💛 After @terrestrialaccessnetwork sent me these superb tracks late last year, I was delighted to sign all eight compositions to Alien Communications, with a view to releasing them on vinyl at some point this summer. Then, whilst chatting online over the weekend, I became aware of the fact that Collin was based in California and, unsurprisingly, conversation turned to how brutal things are over in LA - with several of his friends being affected by the wildfires and being forced from their homes. After discussing whether there was anything we could do to help, we had the joint idea to accelerate the release of his album by putting it out digitally over Bandcamp and donate all of the proceeds to two charities; The LA Fire Department Foundation The LA Animal Care Foundation Thanks to @terrestrialaccessnetwork being able to master the tracks himself and the amazing @theajm turning artwork around in record time, the album is available to download now via the @aliencomms Bandcamp (linked in my bio). It has a minimum price of £5, but we’re appealing to those who can afford it to pledge as much as they comfortably can, in an effort to help two great causes over in California.
