It was absolutely wonderful to be back at my favourite community run - the Saturday 9am Mundy Parkrun! Running in the forest feels like medicine for my lungs! #Coquitlam 🏃‍♀️🌲

I’m part of 100 Women Who Care Tri-Cities - a group of local women who come together four times a year to support charities making a difference right here in our community. Each of us donates $100, and together we make one big impact, quickly. It’s also a great way to meet like-minded women and grow your local network. Our goal is to grow to 500 women in five years. Can you imagine what we could do with that kind of giving power? 🌟✨🤩 This week’s gathering was at Bevees - Greater Vancouver’s largest selection of non-alcoholic beverages - and it was fabulous! A great afternoon for a great cause! 🤩Today I joined in the 3rd annual Coquitlam Foundation Bocce Tournament and had the good fortune to play on the TransMountain Pipeline team. What a fun group! Sincere gratitude to all the organizers, sponsors, volunteers and players! And no, I didn’t feel any pressure AT ALL throwing the final ball of the tournament in the championship game to try and knock the winning ball out of the way in sudden death overtime. It was a pleasure to attend the Coquitlam Public Library Science Expo last Saturday. How lucky am I? My greatest blessings call me “Mom.” 💖 Today marks my 25th Mother’s Day, and what I cherish most is not being celebrated, but the deep gratitude I feel for the gift of motherhood and the joy of raising my daughter and son. 🩷💙 This year feels especially meaningful as I celebrate my daughter’s very first Mother’s Day, my first Mother’s Day as a Grandma, and my own Mom’s first as a Great-Grandmother. Wishing everyone a Mother’s Day that feels meaningful, joyful, and full of love in whatever way you celebrate. 💐

Loved the energy in the room at yesterday’s Female Forward Collective breakfast featuring speaker/author Nicola Harris. Her message was the push I needed to stop postponing goals and start taking action. Inspired by her words, I took a meaningful step today toward one of my 2026 goals and I’m grateful for the motivation. ✨

Wishing my vivacious, grounded, and adventurous daughter an extraordinary 24th birthday. 🎂✨ She’s currently more than 11,000 km away, 🇮🇳🪷embracing unforgettable experiences and creating incredible memories. No matter the distance, she is forever woven into my heart and has been ever since she made me a mom 24 years ago. ❤️ Happy birthday, Jess! Love you tons. 💗

May 6, 2026 - What a day! 😊 A previously scheduled Housing Committee meeting was cancelled, unexpectedly freeing up 4+ hours of my day, so I decided to spend the time supporting as many local community initiatives as possible. I started the morning rush serving coffee at the Austin Ave McDonald’s for McHappy Day, then headed to Como Lake to join fellow members of the Burke Mountain Naturalists and the City of Coquitlam in pulling invasive plants. After 90+ minutes of muddy but meaningful work, I was off to the Barnet Hwy McDonald’s to help with the lunch rush. 🍟💛 Just before my shift ended, a Coquitlam RCMP officer entered the restaurant and promptly arrested me for excessive community enthusiasm! 🚓😂 Off to “jail” I went as part of the Cops for Cancer fundraiser. Huge thanks to everyone who donated to help bail me out. Together we raised nearly $600! 🙏💰👮 I wrapped up the day cheering on SD43 students competing in the Grand Challenge of the annual Grade 4/5 Reading Link Challenge. 📚 It was an energizing day spent surrounded by amazing people while supporting so many meaningful causes. 💙

Enjoyed every moment participating in McHappy Day at Coquitlam’s Austin Ave and Barnet Highway McDonald’s restaurants! 🍟❤️ McHappy Day is McDonald’s Canada’s largest annual fundraiser, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities and local children’s charities.
