A little over two years ago I found out I was HIV+. As if being a Black and queer wasn’t scary enough, I was now posed with a new set of challenges: relearning how to navigate life, relationships and my health. It’s been exhausting… especially since the path feels so lonely. Just a bunch of judgmental eyes that gawk from the sidelines. That with a combination of shame, guilt and the occasional desperation can push one over the edge. And yet I am still grateful. This journey has pushed me to face the darkest parts of myself, and in doing so fall in love with me all over again. This is what Undetectable looks like.
