In the barrel rooms at NOM 1123, Destilería Cascahuín, you'll find a selection of ex-brandy casks that previously held Oaxacan mezcal. Inside those casks sits some of the finest Lowland style tequila you can find, rested in wood for several weeks, as tequilas from the Tequila Valley were sometimes prepared in the early 1900s. While we've always released what we refer to as “Blanco Histórico" under the Tequila ArteNOM label, we're now offering private barrels of NOM 1123 under our Barrica Selección designation. Keep your eye on our Terranova shop, as a number of these casks will be available to purchase directly!

We've very excited about these brand new copper pot stills recently installed at Tequileña! Unique to NOM 1146, these hand-hammered stills exponentially increase the copper surface area, resulting in a cleaner, brighter, and lighter style of tequila. Enrique has also added in new copper condensers to further remove any unwanted compounds. We can't wait to taste these new distillates on our next trip to Tequileña!
