Tentmaker coffee exists to make the ordinary an opportunity for God to move. We have seen coffee served in every gathering of believers, across denominations and cultures it is as present as communion. After over a decade of cafe, roasting, and even growing experience- we decided it was time to let the spirit move. The vision is simple, to help churches buy coffee directly from the source. We trust that God will use our time and talent to do something pretty special. Every cup a story.
Nothin’ like roasting fresh Uganda in the woods!! If John the Baptist roasted coffee, this is how he’d do it. Tentmaker at its finest🤌

“This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ” John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.”
Matthew 3:3-4 NIV

We’re over a quarter into the year already! Time flies, and this is your friendly reminder to remind your friends that it’s time to commune over some coffee!
Tag your church in the comments if you think they should open a cafe (or if they have one already) ☕️

“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Colossians 2:6-7 NIV
Here pictured is one of our very first projects! We met Pastor Jacob through our friends at WOMF and Pastor Jeremy Carpenter. Pastor Jacob, like many, runs a school in conjunction with his church. He wants to see his community changed through education and strong Christian values. But funding for these small and rural churches can be tight already without running a school. So he approached us asking if we could help them use their land a time to start a coffee farm! We will be finding multiple churches to take on this task as initial support and eventual customers to purchase this crop. And for the churches we will be supporting education, small church networks abroad, and caring for the Church just by drinking coffee on a Sunday.
Pictured above is a collection of farmer friends we made in Uganda. Among them is Lazarus, who we met through a local roaster named Claire. When we first arrived at the farm, we did not expect such hospitality, friendship, and information to be shared. Even less did we expect to meet 10 other farmers that day. God’s provision and orchestration to gain every connection we needed out of that trip was nothing short of a miracle. We cannot wait to eventually connect Lazarus and the other 9 with churches stateside!
