EX—VOTO-divination for survivors
Two distinct species and locations. Blue Crab that is spreading across the northern Adriatic Sea invading Venice Lagoon and Pink Salmon that is invading North Atlantic rivers from north to south and west and effecting Teno river. Both spans at unprecedented speed effecting aquatic biomes and changing ways other species thrive and exists even above water including humans. Climate change caused changing environments, warming waters are believed to help blue crab to move towards northern Adriatic.
Work explores new narratives emerging from survival trough collaboration and coexisting with other life forms and local humans rather than individualistic survival culture in times of polycrisis, when climate change effects ant threatens our enviroment and species. Polycrisis is not single event but simultaneously occurring several sometimes interwind crisis and possible catastrophic events. Polycrisis impact regions differently.
This work reveal multifaceted stand between generations, opening view how actions, technologies and traditions pave the way for the future. The work explores friction of cohabitation and adaptation for humans and non-human life in times of changing world. Combining traditional and advanced methods and technologies, the piece emphasizes the potential for local art-driven views, search of change and adaptation in our global ecological, economical social systems. Negotiating cultures and technologies, fostering a more adaptive and self-aware existence.

Workshop Systemic Change in times of Polycrisis was blast. It was selected as one of highlights in programme. I was guiding workshop about systemic change and art together with always amazing researcher Tero Toivanen from BIOS at Ars electronica festival 2023 in framework of More than Planet creative-EU project and as lead of it in Photo North - Pohjoinen valokuvakeskus. Friday is More than Planet day with confrence where Tero Toivanen continues in panel with Prix Ars winners at.14.00. Workshop of Miha Tursic about planetary mattering will be at saturday and discussions continue in afternoon at Post City.
