Today, Wednesday, March 25th at 5pm, a group of students delivered a set of demands to Temple Law administration regarding its ties to ICE/DHS. Specifically, these demands set out a plan for the administration to commit to protecting all students, faculty, and staff from any and all potential ICE violence.
Please read the demands here (also in our bio): bit.ly/KeepIceOut
As LSJP members, we stand unequivocally in support of these demands.
Temple hides its investments from us, but let’s the OwlFund send money to war profiteers and ICE contractors. Full details of the proposal and investments can be found in our bio.
They claim neutrality while suppressing anti-genocide voices and uplifting voices of the colonizers. Inaction is no longer an option. We are calling on @templetsg to act, and truly represent the students.
1. Adopt a socially responsible investing policy.
2. Create an independent oversight committee for the Finance and Investment Committee of the board.
3. Publicly disclose all private investments.
4. Divest from any investments with companies complicit in genocide or other human rights abuses.
5. Cease any current or future collaborations with companies complicit in genocide or other human rights abuses.
Join legal workers and community organizers for an evening lecture and discussion on the recent Prairieland convictions and what it means for our collective fight against fascism and state repression moving forward.
When: Tuesday, June 9th, 6-8pm
Where: Arch St. UMC (55 N Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19107)
Lecturers specializing in criminal defense litigation and counterinsurgency will explain on the case and police repression, at large. A panel discussion featuring local organizers will follow.
We hope this will bring forth a meaningful discussion of what it means to keep each other safe as we continue to confront, and not run away from, political repression. From prison abolition, student organizing, to anti-ICE mobilization, all our struggles intertwine, and we have a lot to learn form each other.
See you there!

Today’s Board of Butchers profile will be the first of many. Mitchell Morgan is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Alan Cohen is the Chairman of the Committee for Finanace and Investment, and Susanna Lachs sits on the Development Committee as well as the Executive Compensation committee.
The Board of Trustees of Temple University serves the interest of Zionist money for a reason. It is made up of billionaires and other members of the ultra-wealthy elite. Their crimes are well documented, their depravity well proven, and yet they are allowed to run our school. These are only small pieces of the legacies of decades of greed and violence.

Through the OwlFund, Temple gives millions to AI and tech companies like Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon. These companies create AI software that is waging wars and genocides across the globe. Telling bombs who to strike, telling tanks when to fire, telling humans when to die.
Students at Temple resist this violence, we fight back and demand divestment from Board of Trustees, but first we demand @templetsg@tsgelect give us the right to vote. The referendum is legal. These mass killings are not. Continue to sign the petition in our bio! The students united will never be defeated.
