This past winter, the band got to rock a couple gigs in the Twin Cities and Brooklyn and spend some quality time with family. It got me thinking a lot about home and identity — namely, how people change and how “home” was always my journal and writing songs. A lot of disparate memories and found footage went into this song and video: sunlight through trees on the banks of the Mississippi River, sprints down Bushwick streets chasing black cats, chalk scrawls on bathroom walls. I thought the video had nothing to do with the original inspiration for “Her,” but then again, maybe it does.
“Her” is the second single from our new EP <<GET HEARD>> which will be out this June. The song and full video are available now. Summer tour dates will be announced soon.
“Her” was recorded by Rob Norris at
@livingrooms.nyc in Ridgewood NY, produced and mixed by Tom O’Donnell, and mastered by Jeff Lipton and Maria Rice at
@peerlessmastering in Boston, MA.
