A while back,
I designed a full brand identity for a client — calm, elegant, and confident.
You know, that kind of design that just stands tall even in silence.
They loved it. Even said it was “exactly the vibe.”
Then two weeks later, they told me, “We decided to let another designer handle the social media posters and campaigns, just to try something new and out of the box.”
I smiled. (Designer smile — you know the one we give when our heart just cracked a little 😅)
The new flyers dropped on IG… and boom — color chaos, fonts on vacation, and my then gallant logo screaming for help.
It was like watching your child return from school with purple hair and sunglasses.
Fast-forward to today? That brand’s nowhere to be found. The energy died because the design lost its posture.
It wasn’t just about visuals — it was about how the brand carried itself.
That moment taught me something I’ll never forget:
Design goes beyond visuals — it’s your brand’s posture and what defines it.
And when posture goes off, even the strongest message can trip.
