On short notice, I decided to meet up with Jens, Klara and their beutiful dog Wolger. After years of planning a trip together, we finally made it!
This time to Gevsjöströmmen.
I knew we were gonna have a good time and fish hard, but I could’ve never even dreamed about this. Within the first 3 hours of fishing we managed to catch 4 beautiful brown trout and this was the second largest that night measuring 31.1 inches / 79cm with a weight of 11.3lbs / 5.1kg.
Truly a fish of a lifetime for me but my initial thought when I looked at it in the net was ”damn this one is nice but kinda small.” Probably because Jens caught the biggest trout I’ve ever seen 2 hours earlier.
One thing is sure though, I’ll never forget this night!

Was out chasing some ocean chrome. Pretty solid fishing, saw a lot of big fish cruising in shallow clear water. Trip got cut short when a storm rolled over the island.
Tried the new Tellus tippet on this trip. Really like it. Already tested the nylon on dry fly before and it’s legit, strong for its diameter. The fluoro handled teeth really well under hard fights and stayed invisible enough that I could run thicker tippet even in tough conditions.
