“Useful is sustainable and is also a return to basics”
Inspired by the name C41, a nod to the traditional film processing technique, we embraced “process” as the core of our approach. It’s a celebration of craft, patience, and intention.
By embracing analog methods and slow, deliberate rhythms, we honor the tactile beauty of traditional techniques. It’s a rebellion against disposable culture, a call to value time, skill, and material. This issue spotlights four Polimoda designers, unpacking their process through candid dialogue and raw creation, from first sketch to final stitch. It’s not about the finish line. It’s about the path we carve to get there. This is our call to usefulness and sustainable, by returning to the analog. The basics.
