An old illustration for @drafthouse resurfaced in @chicagotribune last week at the top of a feature about Alamoās long legacy of killer preshow content. I remember @weegee2000 asking if I had time to do a prog-rock style illustration for their video about Duneās psychedelic music impact. I told him i didnāt, but Iād do it anyway. Couldāt pass up the opportunity to draw Christian Vander as a sandworm. Now itās immortalized in newsprint. š¤šŖ±šø
Itās the best feeling when you get to make art for your friendsā art, especially when it all comes together so nicely. Iām beyond psyched for @moonandmouth ās first book to come out tomorrow on @houseofvladpress . If youāre in the Austin area, swing by and celebrate the release at @alienatedmajestybooks with readings and music by @plum_wooer from 7-9pm.

I spent most of my creative time in 2024 working on illustration projects for @yeti , and collaborating with some awesome folks along the way. From among the thousand-or-so horses Iāve drawn, hereās one of the most challenging and rewarding creations: a 2025 calendar that features a detachable 12x12ā poster crammed with wild Easter eggs. These are available in YETI retail stores across the US and Canada while supplies last.

Some title design for a new short by @jakemessinameginsky , now appearing in its own @criterionchannel section along with our film Milford Graves Full Mantis and a couple other shorts. Itās always an honor to be invited to collaborate with Jake. His work has inspired me for so long, and being able to contribute to these films and to witness the way they move their viewers is so gratifying. You donāt have to be a free jazz head - anyone with a curious mind can find inspiration in Milfordās ideas. I hope youāll check em out.
