Shameless is turning 23 and we’re celebrating Thursday March 12th. 🥳
Even during dark times we believe it’s important to celebrate life and one another through joyful gatherings. ❤️
We started off as a little weekly indie dance night over 2 decades ago and just never stopped. With a deep respect for our musical roots, we’ve strived to connect the dots between then and now through our bookings and events. And we can’t thank you enough for all of your support and love along the way. There is no “I” in Shameless.
On that note, there’s also no other DJ/producer better equipped to bridge our connection to the early days of electronic dance music than Berlin-based Curses. He deftly blends New Wave and Post-Punk with his ghostly vocals and guitars, punctuated with flashes of 80’s EBM and New Beat. Yet he does so in a fashion that sounds fresh for today. He’s also a long time friend of Shameless going back to 2007 so it’s fitting that we’ve got him coming back for another anniversary party. Plus he’ll be making his Monkey Loft debut! 🐒
House music lovers! We’ve got you covered as well. Two rooms of music means that classic 4/4 sound will be waiting for you downstairs in the Green Room with Shameless residents Jen Woolfe, Tek Jones and Aivilo (SF).
A little Shameless history…
Did you know that Shameless resident Tippet aka MC Anton Bomb used to throw a party series called Club YES? That’s where the name “YES! Shameless” came from when we join forces at the Rebar back in 2004. For this event we are bringing back his original YES sign and name out of respect for his life.
We’ll be sharing more Shameless memories over the next month or so as we gear up for our annual party.

We need some sunshine in our lives as we head into 2026! ☀️
Thankfully we have Sunshine Jones joining the Breakfast Club this year with a very special 4 hour DJ set! 🤠❤️
For those that don’t already know, this man is a West Coast legend. From 1991 - 2005 Dubtribe Soundsystem consisted of singers Sunshine Jones and Moonbeam Jones but also included many sit-in and on-tour musicians over the years. Born in a rent party, Dubtribe Sound System distinguished itself as performers by performing live for many hours, rather than replaying their recordings from DAT tapes or portable computers. They toured without stopping, often bringing their own sound, lights, and traveling family with them. But unlike its few counterparts in North America, Dubtribe would depart from the warehouse movement and establish itself in the mid-1990s as a grass-roots tour de force, refusing help, press, or money from any outside interests.
Since then Sunshine Jones hasn’t stopped spreading his message of love through the urgency of change. His dynamic DJ sets often consist of live vocals and create a powerful sense of community on the dance floor. 🪩
We are incredibly excited that he has chosen The Breakfast Club to kick off 2026 with us. 🙏

If you’ve been hanging with us here at Shameless for awhile, @sassmooth (aka Sassmouth) needs no introduction. The longtime Chicago DJ has joined us before and always delivers. She’ll be once again braving those bouncy rooftop wood floors with an all vinyl set! 🪩
