Smashing the patriarchy is a long-term goal of the feminist movement. It plays out in our negotiation of public spaces, right to commons, civic safety, access to resources and universal care.
Smashing the patriarchy is also a personal practice - standing up to oppressive, but normalized practices at home such as women of the household labouring in meal prep only to eat after all the men have had their fill, often leading to poor nutrition - that is a gendered problem.
Smashing the patriarchy is intellectual in that we realize that it is intrinsically tied to capitalism, queerphobia, unpaid emotional and reproductive labour, ableism and commodification of care (read in snarky tone with an eyeroll at the announcement of yet another startup for senior living and companionship that millions will find inaccesible in this country known to have a problem of elder abuse and homelessness due to unresolved generational trauma).
What does smashing the patriarchy mean to you?

[Made some sticker situs for a project that didn't work out, but i had so much fun making them ☺️
I made this one along the lines of something I made some years ago...something about wanting to break the glass ceiling with my glass slipper 👠]

Ayo, I got some thoughts about this. Sometimes you really gotta run towards the waves to be able to ride one, you know? The lines between daredevilry and calculated risks get blurry and you just plunge right in. Let life swell up and envelope you neck-deep and wash you away, rockin' you to a primal rhythm

The first question they had us reflect on and post about is why secs-ed is important. For me, secs is an incredibly playful, fun experience that is born out of curiosity about my own body and others'. Given this seemingly harmless attitude, does it mean I can engage in it with absolute abandon? Certainly not!
It took a lot of conversation and reflection for me to arrive at a point where I feel a sense of agency about my sexuality and my boundaries around it. It has taken me a lot more to learn about others' journey with their sexuality and the myriad of wants that they can have around its exploration - I continue to learn about it in every relationship, and I feel that it is important for me to stay open to it for as long as I'm sexually engaging with another human being.
Personally, it was an important lesson for me was to de-couple secs from romance, marriage, reproduction, and other social norms, and to begin seeing it as a way to experience pleasure as well as a ritual to establish intimacy and play in a relationship. To be able to do so while giving safety, health, and kink their due priority, has been my secs education.
Have you considered what secs means to you and why you engage in it? What are the politics of being a secshual being? Why am I having to spell it differently here when it is a simple 3-letter word that we all know to recognise long before we know what it even means?

7 May 🌠
Spent Thursday evening at Superwomen 2026, where I presented awards (congrats to all the winners!). It felt really special to be part of an all-women space across business, media, and creativity.
Loved the summit earlier in the day, especially hearing @poojajauhari talk about starting over. That exact theme has followed me through different phases of my life, especially when choosing heart over what looks “stable” on paper. I love that she said that it's important to build systems that support and enable such slingshots.
Also really valued the conversations around:
✨ being young and ambitious
✨ negotiating for fair value compensation (not just exposure)
✨ breaking glass ceilings 💥 as senior women leaders
✨ and the female gaze, including queer and trans representation, raised by @itsmaira.life ! such an important conversation in women’s spaces.
Grateful to Sneha Medda and the @officialsocialsamosa team for the invite 🤍
And to @deondemamount for coming along as my +1 and capturing the evening (and making this magical edit for meee) 💖
More of this! 🥂

There’s a lot being said about trans lives right now. A lot is being debated, our identities have been reduced, misunderstood.
But we know there’s more. There’s trans masc swag, the way we show our love, and how we cherish and celebrate our lives.
Trans masc people have always existed beyond just an identity struggle. Our masculinity is real. Our love is real. And we do find each other.
Masc folx out there... we see you.
And this one’s for you.

Editing our film like a reality show… but the plot twist?
No eliminations.
No drama for TRPs.
Just two trans masc people finding something real with each other.
Because the world already edits our lives... reduces us to moments, misreads us, decides who we are.
So we decided to tell our own story.

I made Friday to Monday thinking about masc4masc relationships the silences, the codes, the ways we try to be seen without ever softening too much.
It’s about intimacy that doesn’t always know how to hold itself, about love that’s negotiating with shame, pride, and performance at the same time.
About how we reach for each other anyway.
This film is deeply personal to me it comes from lived moments, from questions I didn’t have the language for, from versions of myself I’m still learning to understand. There are parts of me in every frame in the longing, in the restraint, in the tenderness we’re taught to hide.
