Some shows stay with you from the moment the idea first lands on the table. Sankalp was one of those.
When we first began discussing the project at Jio Studios, Prakash Ji was already on board to direct. The ambition was clear. If we were going to tell a political story, it had to go beyond the surface of power and explore how influence is actually built.
Very quickly the question became clear.
Who could play the central character with the authority and gravitas the story demanded?
For us, one name stood out.
Nana Sir.
We approached him with the material, and when he said yes, the world of Sankalp began to take shape. Slowly the ensemble started coming together, with terrific performances from Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sanjay Kapoor, Neeraj Kabi, Kubbra Sait & Kranti Prakash Jha.
What followed was months of development, writing, casting and building a world that felt authentic to the complex machinery of politics.
