~ Fleeting Trees ~

Nature can be pretty awesome in creating unique temporary artwork on its own. When light coral sand meets black lava sand magic can happen if conditions are right.
~ The Rain Valley ~

The conditions in this rather anonymous valley on Tenerife were quite extraordinary on this particular afternoon. A constant flow of rain shafts were dancing all over this valley mixed with up with incoming beams of light. The backlit rain and fast moving low clouds created a lovely atmospheric feel that was changing by the minute.

~ Floater ~

I was happy to see how that last rays of the day found a small gap through the forest lining the banks on this secluded lake outside Stockholm. The rays lit up this tiny floating island, almost like it was orchistrated in this dark corner of the lake. This is exactly why I find reactionary and improvisonal nature photography so rewarding.

From a lovely quiet evening by a small lake outside Stockholm where the water surface put up a slowly moving art show for a good few hours. I was rather pleased that I was able to see it despite having something completely different in mind for my camera that evening.
~ Fern Shake ~

I think version 2.0 have now finally been installed in my personal photographic ladder. I've definitely changed and evolved in terms of what I shoot, how I shoot and what kind of work I enjoy from other artists.

Nowadays I tend to seek out rather anonymous and less seen places that offers slightly more intimate scenes and subjects. My attraction for the less obvious is greater than the desire to chase the often predictable, safe and ready made images.

Improvised and adaptive style of shooting have taken over the more static and planned approach.

In this image I used a combination of ICM and multiple exposures to achieve the final result.
~ Across the road ~

Next year I will need to chat with the farmer to arrange some better looking patterns on his fields. From a recent visit to Skåne in southern Sweden with my buddy @strixphoto .
~ Tequila ~

Blooming Agave plants makes for a great graphical subject matter under the right conditions. This fine pair stuck out to me when the last sun rays hit them in a valley in northern Tenerife. A 400mm lens and a heavily underexposed image did the trick to enhance the backlit flowers.

Shooting seascapes handheld is much more fun right? Single exposure ICM shot taken at this rather popular beach amongst photographers In Tenerife.

It's 3 years since I posted my last seascape image. While I still shoot seascapes at times, my general shooting habits and style have changed a lot since then. More about that another day.

Technical mumbo jumbo for those interested: Canon 5D Mk IV + Canon EF 16-35/4. ISO 1600, 0.6 sec exposure at f/5. Handheld with slight panning motion during the exposure.
~ Deer in Motion ~

A small herd of Fallow Deer standing on a ridge in Fyledalen in Skåne, Sweden. Opted for a slightly longer exposure to get some motion in them while grazing. From a trip with my buddy @strixphoto . Special thanks to @sig.pix for letting me use your big mama 😉👊🏼
~ Calming Blues ~
It's no secret that Instagram's compression and images with delicate tonal gradients don't go exactly well together. I hope the image manage to transmit the peacefullness dispite that.

Shooting landscapes with long lenses is something find really appealing. It's a great way to single out smaller more compressed parts of wider landscapes and put a more personal touch on your images. Even better is that you avoid coming home with shots like everyone else if you happen to shoot from known wide viewpoints that can often be found in mountainous regions. This is from a trip last fall with @rafairusta in Navarra.
