The Business Excellence Awards - what a surreal amazing night. It would honestly have to top one of the proudest moments of my life.
The last nearly 6 years of Tegan’s Custom Cakes has been quite the journey. I have worked so hard to be in the place I am today, so many long hours and massive weeks, so many nights of little sleep and sacrifices made along the way. But I wouldn’t change it for the world, and I am so appreciative for this recognition.
I was so grateful to even be nominated for this award, and to take out the win really was just the cherry on top. One very very happy gal 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Am I excited? Yes
Am I absolutely shitting myself? Also yes
Am I having an absolute identity crisis thinking about not doing cakes when it’s all I’ve done 12 hours every single day for 9 years? Even bigger yes
This it’s definitely not the end for Tegans Custom Cakes. I absolutely LOVE what I do, I love my business, I love my community. We will be coming back bigger + better and a hell lot more recharged + refreshed with so many new inspiring ideas on where to take Tegans Custom Cakes.
I am so proud of the little girl that’s spent the past 9 years slogging it away in the kitchen every single day for 10-14 hours, building up my business to what it is. I am definetly not about to let that all go.
From the bottom of my heart thankyou so much to every single one of you who has supported me.
Without this amazing community I wouldn’t get to do what I love and grow the way I have.
To all my regular cake lovers, those that get epic cakes for their kids every year or every special milestone, I see you and I appreciate you more than you know.
