At Team Indigenous Dreaming, we stand for sovereignty, visibility and intergenerational strength. Since our first skate-out in 2018, we’ve been creating space where Blak skaters feel seen, proud and powerful.
So it’s with deep pride that we celebrate RAPTOR (Phoenix) - a fierce young Worimi skater who will represent Team Australia at the upcoming Junior Roller Derby World Cup in Meanjin this July. This is the highest level of junior derby in the world!
Raptor currently skates for Sydney Roller Derby. She carries 15 years of skating, 8 years in derby and a deep legacy. Her mum, PAINE (Tenille) has been with Team Indigenous Dreaming from the very start.
There’s nothing more powerful than watching our young mob rise and achieve what they’ve worked so hard for.
