Today I went to learn firearm use and safety with my instructor John Okanishi!
He showed me how to load and unload, dos and mostly donts!
Then got safety equipment, off to the shooting range for my first time ever shooting a gun! It was loud, they are heavy, and it’s hard to adjust your eyes from the gun to target at first but apparently my natural international Secret Agent instincts kicked in and I was pretty accurate my first time!
What surprised me most was the ratio of women to men in the range- 3 to 1! I don’t know what that means but I feel women are tired of being vulnerable and victims. Well I did it, it was interesting, and I knew I would do well because I have very good hand and eye coordination and I stay calm under intense pressure.
