The rumors are true… we’re changing our name.
TËËF was fun while it lasted. It had umlauts, it was fun, it was silly. But the meaning wasn’t there. We thought we’d scrubbed every corner of the internet to make sure there were no other hardcore bands with the same name. But we didn’t scrub hard enough.
After some careful thought, we decided on the name KUBATON.
A Kubaton, or Kubotan is a keychain weapon mostly used by women for self defense. And before you ask- it hurts.
Picking a name like this has a lot of personal meaning behind it especially for our vocalist, and it’s just a cool word that looks good in all caps.
Any shows we play in the future will be under our shiny new name~
