Camoflauge passed away on May 19, 2003, in Savannah, Georgia. His death was the result of a shooting that occurred in broad daylight outside Pure Pain Records, a recording studio he owned, while reportedly holding his son who was luckily uninjured. Camoflauge was only 21 years old at the time of his death.
The circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery. Reports say that he was shot multiple times, with some sources suggesting it was a targeted attack. His untimely death shocked C-Port and the music industry, as Camoflauge was seen as a rising star in rap.

It’s not about where you’re from it’s about if you can go back there. Shawty Lo pulling up to Bowen Homes at the peak of his beef with TI aka the “Must Be Two Sides” War of 2008. The West Side hasn’t been the same since his unfortunate passing but his DNA is definitely still running through the rap game. Very few people have been able to pull off the Trapper to Rapper transition AND have his street reputation never be questioned. L-O!
