For the past few days I've been feeling like I downplayed this moment here. I was graced with the opportunity to be on the cover of @inkingayomhlaba_ 's single Nathi Simangele.
This is such an important moment. Being recognised for my creativity by a peer and an artist I listen to and learn from is, I feel, one of the best compliments ever. It feels like there is a common understanding, which is to create ART. It's a "real recognise real" moment TO ME.
With all that said, I want to first give @inkingayomhlaba_ his flowers for the impact of his music as well as the message he spreads, and secondly thank you for including me in this. It's a big deal to be on the cover of a musician I actually like and listen to.
So many times when I listen to this song and see the cover, it hits me that that's actually me on the cover. Not only that, but it hits me that I was recognised for something I am capable of by another artist! That's so crazy to me. Being perceived is something I have a hard time with, so this is very important to me. I feel seen. Ndo livhua @inkingayomhlaba_ .
The last few slides are some of the originals from when we were trying to come up with the perfect picture for the cover.
There is a story about two baby goats who grew up to become mountain goats. They travelled and pursued life together and lived happily ever after. What they never stopped doing was to search. Keep searching and you might find.
In 2021, after having a terrible experience at a barbershop, I decided that I will start cutting my own hair. This came all from frustration of the carelessness from the barbers I had experienced at the time. Fast forward to 2022, I decided to start my business. At first it was for financial gain, but as time went by, it felt like a responsibility. A responsibility to provide quality services and care for clients. A responsibility to listen and have conversations with my clients β to have therapy sessions with my clients. Although the desire for financial gain was present, I fell in love with the feeling of being important to someone β not only for a haircut, but to be there to listen to the experiences they have had whether good or bad.
Unfortunately as the past year progressed, I had to take a break from my business for various reasons. I had too much on my plate and unfortunately @teebee.cuts had to be sacrificed for a little while. As we turn a new leaf, I would love to give this another try. I have a desire to reignite the fire I once had. New goals and new desires. As I always did, I will try my best to provide a lovely service for all my clients.
If you wouldn't mind, please share this. Like, share, subscribe. All of that. Thank you.
@teebee.cuts is open for business.
Being recognised for the love I have for my country is the greatest honour! Thank you @the_smoke_that_thunders_pl@sean_magavu@miss_sonhera for the platform and allowing for us to have important conversations.
I truly hope that this was insightful.

@tq_sithole I love these two pictures so much that I feel they deserve a separate post. This makes me wonder what truly happens in your mind for you to come up with such. You're a genius dude!
