So last night dinner started with a tuktuk tour of the many night markets in Siem Reap Cambodia
First course, a selection of crispy fried, crickets, grasshoppers, baby frogs, silk works, beetles, and flying giant cockroaches
Firat up was the baby frogs. They were crunchy and chewy with not a lot of flavor, other than salt and some chili
Second course silkworms. These were a little creamy and not my favorite of all the bugs we tried
Next, there were the crickets and grasshoppers. My favorite of all. Lots of flavor, crispy, crunchy, and tasty
Black beetles required a bit of work. Flip em over, peel the legs off, separate the body from the hard shell, and eat the body. Mild flavor, a little creamy but overall, not bad
And the last course, the giant flying cockroaches. Flip them over peel of the legs, next take off the wings, separate the body from the shell, remove the head, eat the body. These had loads of flavor and crunch. Pretty tasty!
Followed this up with an icy cold Angkor lager and a further walk about the night market

Our dinner last night in Phnom Penh. Cambodia was at Oh Son Ramen & Beyond 2. Chef Torishi Fuji prepared us a tasty big ass bowl of Jiro Ramen. Best bowl of ramen I've ever had. So good, wonderful hospitality

So, here's a story for you.
My buddy and I decided to go for a morning cocktail before getting on a bus to Cambodia. This guy walks into the bar with one leg and a machete
A fight ensues, and he ends up on the ground losing his prosthetic during the brawl and being disarmed
He's helped up, pulls a box cutter out of his pocket as the police arrive
The beer was cold
The bourbon was smooth
And i followed the sign on the wall and didn't shit my pants

Today, we had a tasty time in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. While at a coconut candy makers home, i had the pleasure of trying some snake wine. I had a choice between Banana Wine, Tarantula/Scorpion Wine, or Snake Wine. I chose Snake. #itbetasty #teddystravels

Had a beautiful day today. We headed south to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels (look at my stories to see pics), but afterward, we took a visit to a local mushroom farm. As we walked to the farm, there was this little Vietnamese woman who grabbed my hand and led me around the property. She was 91 and full of excitement to show me her family farm. She spoke no English, and I no Vietnamese, but i understood it all. She showed me all that they grew from herbs, to jackfruit, guava, passionfeuit, bananas, and more. But the star of the farm was the oyster mushrooms. This 5 generation farm grows some mighty tasty oyster mushrooms. Double fried in a banana flour batter, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Omg I've never had a mushroom so good. They were served with fresh crunchy guava and chili salt and a jelly made of passionfruit. So good.
Humbled by this experience. Such a treat

Had a tasty time on Train Street in Hanoi. Frosty cold beer and a shot of Jack and sat so close to the tracks that touching the train was inevitable. A must-see when in Hanoi. Look at the train times, get there early, and grab a table. And dont get killed bt the train:)

Tasty goodness roday with one of the tastiest coffees i have ever had, the Egg Coffee. French eoast Viet coffee topped with a thick rich cream ceeam made from egg. Sooooooo tasty!

Good morning, Vietnam! Arrived in Hanoi a few hours ago. Took a look out my hotel room window to a view of a butcher shop being set up on the street, to be ready for todays sale. Not even @mrpuffscanada could make brussels sprouts taste good. Even with a drizzle of maple bourbon caramel-bbq sauce and bacon sprinkles, they are not tasty
