Exciting News! This past Thursday, Tectonic Engineering was honored by the @cmaa_hq Metro NY/NJ Chapter at their Project of the Year Awards and Scholarship Luncheon. Our project for the @mta Construction & Development, “Henry Hudson Bridge, Sidewalk Widening & Structural Rehabilitation,” was honored to receive one of those awards.
Tectonic led a multi-firm team to integrate modern engineering solutions while preserving the Henry Hudson bridge’s historic character, all while coming in under-budget and ahead of schedule! Working with RAD Engineers, @wsp.usa , DeFoe Corp, and @entechengineering ; the project addressed critical structural needs while redesigning and widening the pedestrian pathway to meet ADA standards, significantly improving ease of access for pedestrians and cyclists. This project, part of a broader 10-year rehabilitation program for the MTA, modernized the bridge’s infrastructure while prioritizing accessibility, safety, and community integration.
We are proud to work on projects, such as this one, that provide needed upgrades for commuters, while also supplying the local community with the necessary ambulatory options for urban living. As we say at Tectonic: “Practical Solutions, Exceptional Service”!
