Microsoft is only just getting started with its plans to revitalize gaming for both desktop PC and handheld users, with Windows project K2 set to improve the operating system ā but that's not all.
Xbox Mode is now being rolled out on desktop PCs, as announced by Microsoft via Xbox Wire as of the latest April 30 Windows update. This is what some Windows 11 users may have been familiar with as Full Screen Experience, which has been available since November 2025 for Xbox Insiders.
It's also worth noting that Microsoft is also introducing its new Auto SR preview for the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X Xbox Insiders, which is a new addition to Xbox Mode that can be enabled via Game Bar.

Want a glimpse of the world's best aerial photography? DJI and SkyPixel's annual photo and video contest is the place to go, and this year's winners have just been announced after the early contenders were teased a couple of months ago.
The stunning winning photos and videos of the 11th edition of the contest were selected from over 95,000 entries and 96 countries and regions ā and drone pilot Filip Hrebenda scooped the grand prize in the contest's $200,000 pot with his aerial image The Gate (see below).
Contest judge Zhu Jiong described the scene as "straight out of a fairyland ā layered mountains wrapped in mist.

Developer Who You and publisher Alliance Arts has revealed Drunken Goddess Reflux, an upcoming PC indie game all about trying to outdrink a demon as part of a desperate effort to save your soul.
Played from a first-person perspective, it has you selecting shots to drink in a seriously boozy game of Russian Roulette. You're up against a pink-haired demon, who's desperate to kill you in a big way to make you spend eternity together.
"It's puke or be puked on for your soul," the Steam store page succinctly reads.

I love the iPhone Air. Iāve waxed lyrical about Appleās super slim phone in multiple articles over the past few months, and nothing Iām about to say should take away from the fact that this is, without doubt, the most exciting iPhone Apple has released since the iPhone X.
Over the weekend, my girlfriend finally took notice of the iPhone Air Iāve been using for the better part of three months now. āItās so light,ā she said, impressed by the Airās weightlessness compared to her comparatively gargantuan iPhone 15 Pro Max. āBut I wouldnāt buy the white one ā Iād prefer it in gold.ā
Reader, my iPhone Air is gold. Or rather Light Gold, as Apple describes it. I told my girlfriend as much, but she didnāt believe me. I had to pull out the box and show her the color label. Of course, I know Iāve been using the Light Gold version of the iPhone Air, because itās my job to know. But it wasnāt until this out-of-work conversation that I realized just how not-gold the iPhone Air in Light Gold is.
