Commissioning Nawiri Nadung'a irrigation scheme in the absence of USAID, thanks to @givepowerfoundation . We have brought water into the irrigation system, now we will support the community via Ebolia CBO on the ground @kospir_k_augustine through a complete harvest cycle. Thanks to Turkana County for their approval and support thus far and ongoing. We can try to bridge the gap in aid with a little cleverness and no bureaucracy.
Epic Shasta voyage with some serious cold turned into the biggest chanterelles I've ever seen and my second time finding prime matsutake. Props to @flaccidx_xbambi and @sjin.lihui for some good finds and comradeship, @530myco for the location tips, and the youngest mushroom connoisseur for both tolerating the adventure and enjoying the fruits. Other than basic dishes : matsutake sashimi, matsutake fried rice, matsutake steamed egg with caviar, and the coup de gras - steak with chanterelle fig cream sauce.
