Very funny, Joe.
With the coming of warm weather, our member and "unofficial quartermaster" @cubicle23 has shipped off to spend the summer building a new home in rural Maine. But before he left, he packed up his bay in the most @cubicle23 way possible. Guess we'll have to buy our own 5mm ball bearings and stick-on googly eyes until then.
We're approaching Art Festival and Tabling season! Any events that you want to see us at?
This year some of our members are collaborating to help us table and and sell their own stuff at events!
If you see us at an event stop by to chat. We'll have free button making supplies and might even have some basic repair services at certain events!
Thank you to our Lathe Shop Tech and Instructor Jonathan! We greatly appreciate all the community members who keep the shops running and Jonathan has been doing an awesome job with both maintenance and training for our wood lathes. On top of that he's an amazingly helpful guy whenever folks have lathe or woodshop questions!
Thank you to Vanessa from @guardians_traditions for asking us to make these bookmarks! I really appreciated being able to learn some new skillsets, and I was really grateful to go to the event you put together ❤️
Getting to hear from experts about the impacts of colonialism on the Caribbean honestly was delightful, and has inspired me to get back on that history learning train... Time to head back to my local library!
(Also to make more bookmarks with my art cus, oh my gosh, I know how to make fabric bookmarks now! I'm really excited to test some more things out to see if I can elevate these a little bit more... 😤)

This giant creature named Gurt showed up at the Technocopia Makerspace a while back. They were very interested in the Monday night Stitch & Bitch!

We made a lasercut drawer organizer for our lasercutting shop! It's so satisfying to have a place for every tool.

Shoutout to Roely for leading a Domino Table community project with the Hector Reyes House!
They made a set of custom domino tables from scratch to be used by the guys at the house.
