24 years ago, Blade introduced millions of people to one of the hardest rave scenes ever put into a movie. šŸ‘ļøšŸ–¤ @TECHNO The legendary blood rave sequence blended vampire horror with underground techno, warehouse party culture and dark electronic music aesthetics years before EDM became mainstream. With flashing strobes, aggressive beats and chaotic underground energy, the scene instantly became iconic across rave and club culture. More than two decades later, the Blade nightclub scene is still considered one of the most legendary electronic music moments in film history.

Let’s get down to Business šŸ’° TiĆ«sto just won a $18+ million legal battle… and the story behind it is wild. šŸ‘ļø @TECHNO Back in 2012, the legendary DJ reportedly received incorrect tax advice claiming he wasn’t a US tax resident. That mistake eventually triggered massive IRS claims, including millions in taxes, penalties, and fines. After years of court battles, the Amsterdam Court of Appeal ruled in TiĆ«sto’s favor this week, ordering full damages to be paid along with legal compensation. The court stated that TiĆ«sto likely would have made completely different financial decisions if he had been properly advised from the start. One of the biggest DJs in electronic music history fighting a multi-million dollar legal battle for years… and actually winning. Respect. āš–ļø Would you have had the patience to fight a case that big for over a decade?

Why DJs never want drinks near the DJ booth. šŸ„‚ During a live DJ set, a partygoer accidentally spilled a drink across the CDJs and mixer, creating one of the biggest nightmares in club and festival culture. Professional DJ equipment can cost thousands of dollars, and even a small liquid spill can permanently damage mixers, CDJs, and audio gear mid-performance. It’s the reason so many clubs, festivals, and DJs enforce strict no-drink rules around the booth. via: @dj.dhenn / @danny.hennesseyy

Researchers from the University of Glasgow and the Scottish SPCA found that repetitive rhythms and steady tempos can help reduce stress levels in dogs, lowering heart rate, barking, and anxiety in shelter environments. Interestingly, the same elements that helped calm the dogs — repetition, groove, tempo, and predictable patterns — are also the foundation of electronic music. Turns out the rhythms that keep dance floors moving might also have a calming effect on man’s best friend. šŸ¶šŸŽ¶ via @imdurante #techno
